Is this image AI-generated?
Drop an image to check whether it was made by OpenAI's gpt-image-2 (or any other AI generator). We read the embedded C2PA / IPTC metadata first, then fall back to a hosted detector when needed.

How the checker works
What does "AI-generated" actually mean here?
We declare an image AI-generated when we find either a C2PA / IPTC "trainedAlgorithmicMedia" marker (the industry standard that OpenAI, Adobe, Microsoft and others write into their outputs), or when the hosted detector returns a confidence ≥ 70%.
Can you really tell if it's gpt-image-2 specifically?
If the metadata is intact, yes — OpenAI's claim_generator string identifies the family. If metadata has been stripped (screenshots, social-media re-encodes), we can usually only narrow it to "OpenAI-like" via the detector's per-model breakdown.
Why might the verdict say "inconclusive"?
If the image was re-encoded (e.g., screenshotted, posted to a platform that strips metadata) AND the detector's confidence sits in the 20–70% middle band, we won't pretend to be sure. The raw probability is still shown.
Do you store my uploads?
No. Uploads are processed in-memory and discarded after the response is sent.
