Risograph Cut Paper Collage Travel Poster

FORMAT. 3:4 vertical travel poster for [Sydney], made as a handmade risograph screenprint and cut-paper collage, scanned from physical paper. PRINT. Warm cream fibre paper (#F1E7D6), visible paper tooth and one subtle fold crease. Paper is the lightest value; no white ink. Use three plates only: black, [pale sea teal] and [coral]. Plate overlaps create the only additional hues. Keep black coverage under 35%. TYPE. "[SYDNEY / HARBOUR]" set as ultra-condensed heavy grotesque uppercase lettering, arranged in two stacked lines bleeding slightly past both side edges and filling approximately 65% of the frame height. The second line is wider than the first. Black lettering with a 3mm misregistration ghost in the second accent colour. FIGURE. A young adult woman, early twenties, wind-lifted hair, standing in the defining pedestrian or public area of the destination. Three-quarter view, turned back over her shoulder, one hand holding her hair away from her face. She stands in front of the typography and partially covers it: letterforms are cut off at the figure, while the top third of every letter remains clear. Skin rendered as dense black halftone photo-transfer with varying dot density and visible paper showing through the highlights. Hand-cut paper silhouette with a 4mm bare-paper margin and a thin teal offset outline. COLLAGE FILLS. Clothing and accessories use glued-paper textures with torn edges. Jacket or windbreaker: coral cross-hatch weave. Trousers: pale teal cloud-print. Add a distinctive local visual fragment behind her shoulder, plus a torn kraft-paper scrap attached to or near the bag. EYE BAND. A flat semi-opaque coral rectangle across her eyes, slightly wider than her face. Eyes remain visible underneath as dark halftone. Edges slightly imperfect and physically printed. BACKGROUND. One instantly recognizable architectural or structural landmark placed left of centre. Signature lines, cables, streets, coastlines or structural elements fan outward toward both edges as thin black lines. The recognizable background environment appears far behind in flat teal halftone. Foreground surfaces, paths, streets, steps or architectural lines converge naturally across the bottom. ACCENTS. Add a coral drybrush band low on the horizon and a teal diagonal band in the upper-left area. Include small destination-specific environmental silhouettes in the upper-right and lower-left corners. Mid-right on the coral band, place two lines of small lowercase marker handwriting: "[chasing the ferry / one more lap of the quay]". SURFACE. Ink visibly sinking into paper fibre, authentic plate misregistration, physically cut paper edges, faint scan noise, matte printed finish, subtle handmade imperfections.
